The pretty rural village of Marhamchurch at 1mile is within easy walking distance and offers a Post Office/General Store, lovely country pub serving excellent dishes and joins the main cycle track route.

The nearby friendly resort of Bude at 2 miles and surround area offers a variety of experiences from relaxing days on sandy beaches to challenging outdoor pursuits and fun for families at Adventure Parks. Miles of sandy beaches are consistently commended for cleanliness with lifeguards during the summer season. The area contains some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the British Isles and some of the best surfing beaches in the UK.

Spectacular cliff top walks and the Sustrans cycle route passes through the area.Bude canal with its flat tow-path walks, marshes and thriving wetlands and recreational areas provide excellent access for birdwatchers, walkers and cyclists.

There is an abundance of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes within easy reach.
